I love second chance romances, and I haven't read many hockey books, so I grabbed this when I saw it at the library. I liked it enough to continue the series, but I thought the romance between Leo and Georgia was a little flat. There's not much conflict between them that a tumble into bed won't fix, and they pretty much pick up where they left off back in high school. Leo has never stopped loving her, and Georgia, after being the victim of a violent attack, dumps Leo right after graduation so they can get on with their lives. She feels that she is dragging him down, and that he will be better off without her.

The secondary characters were a blast, and Leo's awkward attempts to fit in with his new teams were by far the highlights of the book. He immediately gets off on the wrong foot with the coach (Georgia's father), and the team captain. The coach is holding a grudge from the past and he wants Leo gone, and the rest of team don't have time or the patience for his rookie mistakes. Leo is worried about being traded, and his behavior isn't helping to solidify his position on the team. As the PR guru for the team, Georgia is breaking every rule by getting caught up in the wake of chaos Leo leaves behind him.

Overall an entertaining read. I am looking forward to the next book; O'Doul was one of my favorite characters.
