Bonds of Justice

Bonds of Justice - Nalini Singh 4.25 stars

This is the best installment of the series in a while. I enjoyed how Singh introduces new characters, while reminding us about old favorites. My opinion of some of the Psy Council members is shifting, and characters that I once detested I now enjoy catching up with.

I liked that the focus of this story was on mysterious deaths of Nikita Duncan's inner circle. The circumstances, as well as the obvious danger to Max and Sophia, cranked up the tension. Add in a psycho serial killer and you have a stressful case for our protagonists. I always think the romances with the Psy are kind of ridiculous; you have a person that has been raised in Silence, to never feel any emotion or touch another and viola! A little skin on skin action and the poor Psy almost perishes an explosion of combustible sensations. It was interesting in the first book, but by now that just feels old. Bring on the Changleings and their skin privileges!
