This left me disappointed. I didn't like Bourne, and didn't think there was enough chemistry between the protagonists to justify how awful he was to Penelope. While friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, this missed the mark. When Bourne had Penelope in the abandoned house, at the beginning, I kept hoping, praying even, that she would whack him over his smug head with the bottle. Wouldn't that have been fun? YES!

I loved the comeuppance scene with the villain, when Penelope finally gets to shine. She barges in, takes control of everyone, and gets the respect she deserves all through the force of her personality - and a lucky hand of cards.
