With her life turned on end, her family and her heart broken, she has to come to terms with what it means to be an American in a country that no longer accepts her because of the paranoia following the attack on Pearl Harbor. Compelling and emotional read about an embarrassing episode in our history. Have we learned from this? I certainly hope so.
