A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy

A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy - Alexandra Bracken, Iain Mccaig 3.5 - 4 stars

I enjoyed the Leia and Han Solo sections better than the Luke chapters, but that's because I like them better. I have always liked them better, starting from when I saw the movie for the first time when I was 13. This retelling of A New Hope is fast paced and enjoyable, following the heroes through key moments of the story. Creative background details were inserted throughout, giving the events more depth. I wasn't going to read the other books in the series, but this was such a fun read that I changed my mind. A little Star Wars binge before The Force Awakens is released can't be a bad thing, right?
