DNF @ 30%This was not holding my attention, especially after Anna goes to Hungary with her grandmother. The world building was somewhat interesting, but the special snowflake with powers beyond anyone's comprehension wasn't doing it for me. Labeled a Barren, or someone without magic, she actually has the ability to break spells. How no one figured this out but a guy who was trying to break the Binding that reserved all magic for the wealthy Luminate, I'll never know. In the end, I didn't care enough about Anna or her "lack" of magic to keep reading.
