Cold-Hearted Rake
3 starsIt was hard to like the male characters at first because they were all so self-centered. Rhys was especially selfish, but some weird part of me liked him well enough to want to read the next book in the series. I hope he develops both a heart and some patience.
Devon started out as a first class jerk, but he and his brother West quickly shaped up with the help of the fresh country air. While I enjoyed this book to a certain degree, I never felt caught up in the lives and conflicts of the characters. It was as if everyone was just going through the motions, without any real passion or feelings. Some of the dialog was quite clever, but most of the plot had me plodding through the pages without much engagement. Not sure why this didn't work very well of me.
