The Square Root of Summer

The Square Root of Summer - Harriet Reuter Hapgood Not sure how I feel about this book. Some parts were so spot on: Gottie's guilt at wishing her grandfather could have a Viking's death, her immense grief holding her in the past and allowing her to lose sight of her present and her future. Falling in the worm holes into her past didn't work for me, though. Maybe I couldn't connect with Gottie. She was self-absorbed and selfish, and her grief and her broken heart made her seem even more selfish.
